February Favorites

I love watching my favorite beauty gurus on YouTube. Watching their video's is so addicting. One of my favorite video's to watch over there are 'Favorites of the month ... ' type of video's. These are video's in which they share the products they have been loving during the month that has just gone by. These types of post also made their way into the blogosphere and I though it was time I hopped on the bandwagon.
Without further ado, here are my 'February Favorites'.

First up, Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation. I've been having some break-outs lately so I needed something to even out my skin tone and cover up those nasty blemishes. I didn't have a foundation that was light enough for me during this time of year though, so I had to pick up a new one. I had heard a lot of good things on this foundation over the past months/years? and I decided to give it a go. I really like it so far. It really looks natural on the skin and I found that the best way for me to apply it is by just using my hands. I personally don't like heavy coverage and like my natural skin to show through as much a possible. As I have oily/combination skin I do need to set the foundation with a powder and have to do some touch up throughout the day to keep shine away.

Next we have another product that has been really been helping a lot to fight the blemishes on my face is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo. This is a corrective and unclogging anti-imperfection care product. This has been a life saver for me for at least 2 years. I apply it at night and it really helps to combat those nasty blemishes that do break through from time to time. Love!

I fell in love with a new Essie polish after seeing a picture on Instagram  from Ingrid - Missglamorrazzi on Youtube and Thegridmonster on Instagram - wearing this amazing blue nail polish. When I see things on YouTube or on Instagram I really like I just have to have them.. I'm drawn to things I discover like that. Bad for my wallet, but good for you guys I think. Anyway, the name of this gorgeous mint green/blue nail polish is 'Fashion Playground'. It's part of Essie's new spring collection This one is very similar to 'Mint Candy Apple' (also by Essie) but 'Fashion Playground' has some shimmer in it.

Also on the picture, some of my favorite MAC products. Whenever I'm using an eyeliner it's probably Teddy Eye Kohl. Described on the MAC site as an intense bronze, but I think it's just a brown eyeliner with some shimmer in it. Perfect for everyday. Then I have two Mineralize Skinfinishes which I love. You see Stereo Rose and Soft and Gentle. The first one I use as a blush and Soft and Gentle is a beautiful highlight but is also really pretty as an eye shadow. Stereo Rose is a limited edition shade and I got mine last year. But it should actually be available in one of MAC's recent collections. So get yours know, they sell out quickly! Soft and Gentle is in the permanent collection.

Last but not least, a lip balm. Not just any lip balm, but the Dior Crème de Rose smoothing plumping lip balm. I put this on at night before I go to bed and wake up in the morning with the softest lips I've ever had. This also has an SPF so it's perfect for during the day as well.

What were some of your favorites of this month?

Lots of love.
